The On Purpose Events team is proud of its work on the Lieutenant Governor’s Arts Awards, which included a review of the awards program; a modest redesign of the Awards categories and structure, the introduction of new categories and the broadening of the interest in these Awards.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Arts Awards recognize the contribution and achievements made by individuals, groups and organizations to the arts, including all arts disciplines. The awards also promote public awareness, participation and support for the arts. The LGAA is administered by the Saskatchewan Arts Board. Award recipients receive a cash prize in addition to a limited edition bronze sculpture by Joe Fafard, who was commissioned by the Saskatchewan Arts Board.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Arts Awards includes an annual gala event, hosted by the Saskatchewan Arts Board alternating between Regina and Saskatoon.
